Emergency Flood Relief
In the wake of severe flooding in Northern Thailand, including Chiang Mai, our community is facing a dire situation. Many families, including members of our own team, have lost their homes and access to basic necessities. We urgently need your support to provide immediate relief—offering shelter, food, and safe spaces for those who have been displaced.
Why Your Support Matters:
-
Shelter: Many are left without homes and need a dry, secure place to stay.
-
Food & Water: Families need access to clean drinking water and nourishing meals.
-
Safe Spaces: For those most vulnerable, especially children and the elderly, we are creating protected environments where they can feel secure.

Flood Relief Update: Facing New Challenges
Date: 5th October
Just as we began to see progress with the initial clean-up, moving families back to their homes and shifting our focus to helping other areas, we were struck by a second round of flooding—this time much worse than the first. The new floodwaters have caused more widespread damage, displacing even more families and forcing us to redirect our efforts back to immediate rescue and relief.
Current Focus:
-
Safety and Shelter: Ensuring that affected families have a safe place to stay is our top priority. We’ve set up temporary shelters and safe houses, which have already provided refuge to many individuals, including members of our own team.
-
Food and Water Relief: With the continuing flood, access to clean water and food is scarce. We are actively distributing dry food supplies and drinking water to meet basic needs.
-
Medical Support: Health remains a critical concern. We will be providing medical supplies, including deworming and preventive measures, to minimize health risks for those still in flood zones and those helping with the clean-up.
-
Community and Clean-Up Assistance: We are partnering with the local government to help clean the city and affected neighborhoods, providing food, drinks, and essential supplies to the frontline workers as they continue their efforts. We are also supporting community members with cleaning supplies and manpower to restore their homes.
A Story of Resilience:
Today, one of the young girls from our team’s families walked bravely to a safe house we had prepared, as all the roads were closed to vehicles. Her courage is a testament to the strength of our community during this crisis.
Your Support Matters:
The challenges are immense, but we are committed to providing safety, relief, and hope. With your continued support, we can help more families navigate through these tough times. Please consider donating or sharing our efforts to help us reach those in desperate need.

As we continue our relief efforts in Northern Thailand, we want to keep you updated on the current situation and our progress in supporting the affected community.
Current Situation:
While the water levels have subsided in many areas, there are still some locations where the water is continuing to rise, posing ongoing challenges for residents. Our teams are actively monitoring these zones and adapting our response to ensure that help reaches those in need.
Providing Basic Needs:
We are currently providing essential supplies, including food, clean water, cleaning supplies and basic necessities to families in the affected regions. There are relief teams are working tirelessly to set up distribution points in various community spaces, ensuring that vulnerable families have access to these critical resources. We are part of a support group where we can partner with other relief groups to provide resources where they need most.
Our Immediate Area of Support:
-
Our team will be focusing on relief within our organisation this week, mainly clean-up for team members whose homes have been affected by the flood waters.
-
Our aim is to provide daily food packages for communities directly affected by the flood. We will be purchasing a few hundred packed lunches from local vendors who need the additional support, and our team will also be cooking and packing 100 meal packages everyday to distribute to cleaning crews and local communities working on the flood relief
-
Distributing medical, disinfectants & health supplements (especially for children) living in flood affected areas where they are still surrounded by flood waters
-
We have purchased and rented a few power wash sprays to provide cleaning support for mud affected areas within the communities. This will help with a faster and more hygienic clean-up
This joint effort is crucial to help communities begin the recovery process and regain some semblance of normalcy.
Your support is making all the difference—thank you for standing with us during this time.
Clean-Up Support:
The local municipality has been diligently working to clean up the city and restore safety to affected areas. However, the scale of the task requires substantial assistance. In collaboration with the municipality, we are supporting their efforts by providing cleaning supplies, food, drinks, and manpower where possible.
